Due to a bit of a backlog at the District printing office, the latest edition of the AIHS school newsletter will be available here until the first week in September. Due to time-sensitive material, we encourage you to read it either here or at the Newsletter link on the left. It's jammed with helpful information, especially for new students and their families.

A Message from Principal Palladinetti
To the Alexis I. DuPont High School Community:

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to the 2010-2011 school year; a year filled with promise and high expectations! As your Principal I’m proud to say that once again we have been recognized by Newsweek Magazine as a “Great American High School.” Each day your students attend a school that has been recognized for 7 consecutive years as one of the best public high school’s in the country; what an awesome feeling! While this is an impressive feat we should all be proud of, our work is not done. We will continue to implement a rigorous curriculum in a positive and productive school climate. Anything less is unacceptable!

In the arena of education we have the unique opportunity to build upon our previous successes and correct mistakes of the past. Here at Alexis I. DuPont High School we have found the formula for success to be hardworking, determined students coupled with parental involvement. We expect this tradition to continue and I look forward to the successful road ahead. Please note the following:

•Freshmen only report to school on 8/30. Students will report directly to their Advisory room- period 8.
•All students report to school on 8/31. Students will report directly to their Advisory room – period 8
*Student schedules will be distributed during the advisory sessions on 8/30 and 8/31.

It is my personal goal and professional obligation to provide a climate that promotes high standards and respect. Students and staff alike are expected to abide by the rules and policies set forth by the Red Clay Consolidated School District and Alexis I. DuPont High School. Together we can make this an unforgettable year. You and your students are encouraged to work hard, stay involved and do your part to make AI High a place where all students succeed. And always remember….
You Cannot Hide That Tiger Pride!
Sincerely,
Kevin Palladinetti
